听Ali讲战“疫”故事

----图书馆志愿者的一封来信

Dear friends of the Library Volunteer Organization of Henan University of Technology，

From the winter vocation to now,it had been four months we don’t see each other.But every nights our volunteering at the sixth floor of the library is still visible.And the volunteer spirit cheering me up to took part in the campaign for the COVID 19 in my hometown without hesitate.

I am a lieutenant of my special group working to scout Al-Mustafa,as a medic kit and provide rescue operation.In Pakistan,COVID19 started on 26 February 2020.At that time people not take it serious and the police in my country are so tired for the daily work that they don’t have enough time and energy to protect all dwellers. Because people not stay at home. Our President tookaction and hada range of meetings with special military groups.In 13 March Pakistan was taken lockdown,all the stations and schools are shut down.Meanwhile,all kind of jobs stopped. At that time the leader of my scout went to talk about the importance of Epidemic prevention and control with the Military General and he was accepted to working within the military. My captain chosen me again to join the army in this difficult time. We always trying to help people to stayathome. But peoples not listen to us and they take action on us when we need to get alone.After something badly happened.We come back and have a meeting in order to take actions on this situation. We really don’t want to do this but it’s our work to make sure the safety. When people targeting us we will go outside with military and after people goes to home the military will go back.At that time every people seeing us from their home,roof top or some of windows. Now we make some rules for people and they are willing to accept them.People specially appreciated what we did to help them.My captain also delight to hear about that. These are epidemic control people.

Now our working routine on this prevention epidemic are as following. Every morning we go outside to scout the mosque ,the church,the police station,parks,restaurants,hotels and so on.We do spray everywhere and help people for washing hands with detergent and providing covering face. Me and my team are really proud of working for humanity protect. We talk with our families and our friends seldom. Because it is really busy.

I’m really missing everyone in China and Pakistan.This is my 3rd year of 6th semester terms at Henan University of technology.I’m doing hard to study well while I’m working.After this epidemic controlled,I will stay in china,the most safe place in China. I hope all of us will living a good life with great healthy and will be safety. We don’t know if we will alive after this mission or not. We just want all of you guys will keep safe and good healthy. God bless you China and God bless you Pakistan.And I want to give a message to my 6th floor library volunteers and the president of the Library Volunteer Organization. Thanks for taking me inside for doing volunteering for three years and I got so many good friends during volunteering.

亲爱的河南工业大学图书馆志愿者协会的小伙伴们:

从寒假至今，已有近4个月没见到你们，但每晚相约在图书馆六楼的志愿活动仍历历在目，图书馆的志愿精神也鼓舞我毫不犹豫地加入到家乡的战“疫”中。

我是特别侦察队“ Mustafa”小组的一名助理（中尉），负责侦察Mustafa地区、提供医用药物以及救援帮助。2020年2月26日，巴基斯坦检测出新冠病毒。当时，人们并没有把它当作一件很严重的事情，而且我所在城市的警察已经疲于日常工作，无暇去照顾所有的居民。因为人们不愿待在家中隔离，我们的总统决定采取行动并与特别军事团体召开了一系列的会议。3月13日，巴基斯坦封闭所有的车站和学校，同时绝大多数的工作停工。这时我所在侦察队的队长向军队的将军阐述了控制及抑制流行病的重要性。慎重考虑后，军队决定接受他加入战“疫”的请求。在这个困难的时期，我的队长再次选择了我，同他一起加入军队。我们一直在尝试帮助人们待在家中，但是仍然有些人并不听从我们的劝告。而且因为有时我们需要独立行动，在我们脱离军队时，甚至会有人攻击我们。在这之后，我们就此情况展开了会议，当再有人试图攻击我们时，我们会与军队一同行动，在确保人们回家之后，军队便会回归岗位，我们的安全保障也有所好转。。我们真的不愿做出这样的事情，但我们的工作是保证人民的安全！之后每当我们行动时，都会受到人们的注视，在家里、楼顶、窗户上，而不是在外面。现在，我们为人民制定了一些规矩，他们很愿意接受。对于我们对他们做出的帮助，他们也表达了真挚的谢意。我的队长听说局势好转的消息后，同样十分高兴。这就是我们--一直在努力抗击疫情的军人们。

现在我们日常对抗疫情的工作如下：每天清晨外出巡逻，寺庙、教堂、警署、公园、餐厅、宾馆，随处都能够看到我们忙碌喷洒消毒剂的身影。此外我们还会发放口罩、提供清洁剂以供人们洗手。我和我所在的队伍在保护着人民，我们为此十分自豪！一天中，我们只有很少的时间能够与家人和朋友联系，因为现在实在是太忙了。

我十分想念我在中国和巴基斯坦所认识的朋友。今年是我在中国郑州河南工业大学第六个学期的第三年，我在工作的同时也努力保持优异的成绩。在疫情得到控制之后，我会继续留在中国--世界上最安全的地方。希望我们所有人都能够保持安全，有健康的身体，过上幸福的生活。即便不清楚之后会发生什么，但我只希望你们都能够健康平安。上帝保佑中国！上帝保佑巴基斯坦！同时，我希望给我所在的图书馆六楼志愿者们以及志愿者协会会长带一条消息：感谢你们接纳我成为一名志愿者，这三年间，我在进行志愿活动的同时，也收获了很多的好朋友，想念你们！

You risked your life to join the campaign to defend people against the COVID 19,which demonstrating the courage and responsibility of“All men share a duty for the rise and fall of their nation”.I shall dedicate myself to the interests of the country in life and death irrespective of personal will and world. You are the ridge and the paradigm of your country, Your spirit of volunteering and giving will motivate more people to march forward and guard our earth home together.We believe the epidemic will be terminated in the future,and China is always opening to you.

     Syed Ali来自巴基斯坦信德省海德拉巴县，就读于河南工业大学国院计算机科学专业，精通英语、汉语水平能够做到基础交流。父亲是家乡的一名电力工程师，母亲是一名教师，得益于中巴的“铁杆”外交，阿里的哥哥、姐姐先后来到中国完成大学本科学业。

    Ali于2018年加入图书馆志愿者协会，负责协助开展图书馆六楼的志愿工作，并积极参加图书馆悦己读书会举办的丰富多彩的阅读推广活动：清明节风筝DIY、“阅读点亮人生 志愿成就梦想”国际志愿者日、考研加油站、“书非荐不能读”…… Ali性格开朗随和、积极乐观，空闲时间会很热心地用英语和图书馆师生交流，帮助图书馆志愿者、悦己读书会骨干们提高英语口语水平，备受大家欢迎。
